New Special Olympics Site

Special Olympics State Winter Games 2012

Wow, I can’t believe that our winter games have come to a close already.  I had such a wonderful time on the hill this year and taking pictures of all you great athletes!  You are truly my heroes!

The final count of images taken was 3,777!!!  That is amazing, 3 days and three photographers!  I would like to say a huge thank you to my daughter Brittany Williams for assisting in snow shoeing and candid shoots.  A special thank you goes to my assistant photographer Meghan Fay for jumping in and taking the bull by the horns!  Meghan will be attending U of M this fall in Journalism.  With her talents and passion I have no doubt that Meghan will go far!

Thank you to all the Special Olympics organizators for making me feel right at home and very much appreciated.  It meant the world to me to create this project!

Happy 19th Birthday Brittany!

It’s hard to believe that Brittany turned 19 years old today!  It seems like just a short time ago that I gave birth to her and how over joyed David and I were with her arrival!  Brittany was my first underwater birth at a birthing center in Culver City, California.  It was an amazing!

I can’t express how much I love you Brittany and how very proud I’m of who you are!  You are a true friend, a giver, you have the most amazing free spirit of anyone I know, and you are perfectly happy with just being you, You are my earth spirit baby bound to this earth heart and soul.

I use to sing this to you…and sometimes I still do!

Front Page of the Daily Interlake!

As promised I am posting the pictures that were on the front page of the Daily Interlake of my husband and family on the carriage ride at the drive-thru at Wendy’s in Kalispell.

The kids have been bugging me since Monday night to make sure I get the paper before they head off to school, just to see if it made the paper or not.

Vintage Flash Back Sessions

I am very excited to announce a new brand of photography that I am preparing to do for Valentine’s.  Actually, it’s not new, I first did them many years ago with great success prior to moving to Montana.  It’s a vintage flash back look for little ones.

Girls wear mom’s dress up clothes and boys were dad shirts, ties, jacket and hats.   I have been collecting all these items and many more for this shoot.  Dress up dresses, hats, long necklaces, pearls, silk flowers, men’s shirts, ties, jackets, hats, shoes, vintage suit cases, trunks and more.  I even have several vintage and lace outfits and bloomers, lace collars, and tutu’s.

This is such a fun session with children.  Call or leave me a message if you would like to book a session.  I will schedule dates and times in January, so prints will be available to send out to loved ones.

A Whole New Meaning to….Fast Food!

January 2, 2012

David and the kids had been planning to go on a Christmas cart ride singing Christmas Carols, yet there was not snow and it was very overcast and cold.  So, they held out and went today…sun was shining and the weather was perfect.

They we’re planning to ride down the bike path on Helena Flats to Reserve.  I followed them for a little while, left to return some Red Box movies only to catch up with them about 40 minutes later going through the Drive-Thru at Wendy’s in Kalispell.  As they rode down I watched several cars stop, people waving, getting out their cell phones to take a picture or two.  But the best thing I observed was all the SMILES!

The local photographer Patrick Cote, from the Daily Interlake was at Wendy’s and captured what hopes to be some awesome photos from ordering, to paying and receiving all their meals!

It’s amazing that we live in Montana, where western horses and rodeo is a common word.  But to see my husband and a cart full of my kids going through Wendy’s in a horse-drawn cart and my daughter on her paint was just the best way I could have imagined to start the New Year’s!

Flathead Care Holiday Card

How exciting, today I received the holiday postcard from Kari Gabriel, director of Flathead Care.  This will be sent to every parent of a high school student here in the valley!  WOW, that’s a lot of postcards!

Thanks to Katie, Trinity, Katherine, Meghan, Peyton, ,,,, Miranda, Donald, Tanner, ……. for braving the cold and making our time fun!  And it was lightly snowing which made it even better.
